Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS)

What incentives are available?

The Government’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS) has replaced the previous Renewable Heat Incentive and is designed to help reduce the total cost of installing a low carbon, renewable heating system. It can save you between £5000 – £6000 depending on whether you are choosing an air source heat pump or a ground source heat pump. The grant is paid directly to your installer and the awarded amount will be deducted from your total installation costs. We will submit the application for your grant voucher on your behalf and all you need to do is confirm Green Building Renewables as your preferred installer.

The BUS scheme is open for grant applications from 23 May 2022, with installations meeting the criteria and commissioned from 01 April 2022 being eligible. We will check your eligibility for the grant during the quotation phase. For further information please visit Ofgem’s property owners guidance for more information.
