At Green Building Renewables we are growing rapidly and are looking out for people to join our team as we form a nationwide network of renewable energy experts across England.
Due to the swell of demand for renewables and exciting company acquisitions across England, we require experienced Renewable Heating Engineers with great customer service skills for our various offices located around England.
We are looking for someone who is confident with various renewable heating technologies and would be responsible for installing and commissioning a range of systems. Attention to detail and an ability to clearly communicate to customers demonstrating how things work, managing expectations and generally guiding customers through a smooth installation or service.

Job Purpose
The role of the Renewable Heating Engineer requires an individual to take responsibility for installing and commissioning a range of renewable heating systems. Duties will also include installations of a range of other renewable products. The appointee will need to be confident working alone and within a team setting.
The Renewable Heating Engineer must be confident to deal with customers and communicate effectively. The new appointee must be confident in managing their time and working to deadlines, prioritising their workload accordingly. You must be able to show problem solving skills and be able to confidently deal with members of the public, (who may not fully understand the work being carried out or its process.) Being able to communicate with these customers and supporting them throughout the work is of great importance to the role.
Key responsibilities
- Communicates effectively with customer to explain how the products and system works.
- Provides ongoing help and support as the work is carried out.
- Installs heating systems and renewable products.
- Provides support to the team when required with planned work.
- Completes the necessary paperwork for each of the completed jobs, in a timely manner.
- Undertakes training on new products and technologies in order to provide advice to customers with confidence.
Education & qualifications
Essential
- Previous plumbing experience.
- Previous heating experience.
- Full driving license
Desirable
- Experience of renewable heating
- BPEC qualifications in heat pumps, unvented, water regulations and Part L
- Electrical qualifications.
Work Experience
Essential
- 1 years’ experience of working in a customer service environment.
- 1 years’ experience of working in a plumbing role.
- 1 years’ experience of working in a heating role.
Desirable
- Experience of working in the renewable energy sector.
- Experience of working in the construction sector.
- BPEC Qualifications in heat pumps, unvented, water regulations and part L.
- Electrical qualifications.
